Hello,

How is everyone doing? How are midterms?
Well, don’t really answer, because I’m just trying to be polite and don’t really want to hear it.

How am I doing you ask?
Oh, midterms are excruciating but otherwise I’m wonderful. But thank you for being so thoughtful, you really do care!

Oh, you want to hear more about my weekend?
Well, I don’t want bore you with my mundane life.

But you really insist? And you think all my stories are amazing and never boring? And that I have great hair and a winning, lovable personality?
Geez, you are flattering me too much. But yes, I agree.

Were your teenage school years awkward for you? Well, they weren’t for me. I was pretty awesome even back then. Have you heard of the famous F4 from all the Asian dramas (Japanese, Taiwanese, and Korean)? Well, for my school, I was like one of them. Yeah, doesn’t the ice cream look even better when it is us that are eating it?

But for everyone else, come and be awkward at this Wednesday’s upcoming social, Awkward Middle School Dance! We will be turning the QARC into a dim-lighted, streamers-filled, middle school gymnasium for your awkward dancing pleasure (there will be no grinding you hormonal miscreants! leave room for Jesus). Relive your bad memories complete with fruit punch, chaperons, and heartbreaking rejections. I, of course, will be in the Popular Corner. Hopefully, you all have dates, cause you know, it’s not fetch (yeah, I’m bringing it back) to not have one. We are starting this meeting earlier at 7:15 so come early or gym doors will be closed!

Welcome to another edition of your weekly Cal Q&A email A.K.A. more on Alex’s life than you care to know.

This happened to me this weekend:

*At a party*
Friend:  Have you met Alex, he is close friends with (mutual friend) in Q&A.
Me: Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Alex.
New Acquaintance:  Oh, are you the Alex that sends out the Q&A emails, I get those!
Me:..oh…yeah…*blushed* (well, technically…*Azn glowed*)

Okay, I exaggerated the embarrassing factor in that encounter, but actually, that was the 4th time something like that has happened.  HOPEFULLY, most people are just deleting these emails after they see my name and don’t actually read these terrible things.  Besides, these emails are not at all representative of me IRL anyways.  The real me is quite reserved, quiet, shy, and innocent.

Anywho, this week’s exciting Wednesday meeting is a discussion on Stereotypes!  This is an issue that I’m sure everyone has dealt with whether they were Q&A related or even stereotypes outside of that.  Take a short break from midterm studying to come on out and join us in this riveting discussion!  There will be drawing (ooh!), there will be video clips (ahhh!), there will be sitting and sweating with many people in the stuffy QARC room (eh…)….but we will try and open windows (ohhh!).

Speaking of more fun and awesome Cal Q&A things, we are going to Halloween Haunt at Great America!  YAY!  Not only will it be a fun evening, it is also a chance to meet and hang out with other Q&A clubs from Davis, Stanford, and San Jose State!  The discounted group price is $25 per person, so please bring your money to this Wednesday discussion if you are interested in going!!!   

Also put yourself as attend on our FB event so we could get a proper headcount!
